Overview

The 3-Days safari Murchison falls tour gives you a magnificent view of the Murchison water falls on the Victoria Nile found in Uganda’s largest conservation national park. Murchison waterfalls are well known for its strange force as the whole River Nile water forces itself down through a six-meter-wide gorge. This makes the fall to be the strongest in Africa and possibly in the world. Murchison falls national park was first gazette in 1952 and it was initially known as Kabalega National Park.

With this package, you’ll visit the largest and oldest national park in Uganda. This tour includes game drives, a launch trip to the bottom of the falls, a visit to the top of the falls, visiting the Devil’s Cauldron, and so much more. It is known for its outstanding beauty, the big four animals, and the world’s most powerful waterfalls.

Day 1 :

Pick up from Kigali and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park.

This adventure begins early at 6:00 am after your breakfast with a pickup from the hotel. Our knowledgeable driver guide orients you about the trip and then starts the road trip to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park. Driving from Kigali to Bwindi takes approximately 4-5 hours, of a comfortable ride enjoying the beautiful sceneries.
Have a one hour stopover at the Katuna border a Rwanda-Uganda Boarder for immigration and clearance to exit Rwanda and enter Uganda.

Another stopover will be in Kabale at L. Bunyonyi for a boat cruise and lunch depending on your time of arrival or traffic and border clearance time. From Kabale after lunch, continue straight to the park, arriving in the evening for a visit to the Batwa people at the edge of Bwindi Forest and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight in Buhoma, the northern Sector of Bwindi.

Day 2 :

Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable forest

After an early morning breakfast with a packed lunch, head to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing and a cultural dance experience. Later, you'll be assigned to a group of (max 8 people per gorilla family). Trekking can take minutes or hours, depending on the gorillas' location. Once found, you'll spend one unforgettable hour seeing them from a 7-meter distance

watching them feed, playing, and caring for their young ones. After the trek, you will return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest.

In the evening, visit the Batwa for a cultural encounter with the forest’s original inhabitants. Learn about their traditional hunting and gathering lifestyle, listen to their music and stories, and witness dances that reflect their deep connection to the forest. This enriching experience offers a glimpse into a unique heritage and supports local community conservation efforts.

In the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 :

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

After a heavy breakfast, embark on a scenic transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park through the southern Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions and other wildlife. Enjoy views of the savannah and spot game along the way. In the evening, unwind with a sunset boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where you'll meet hippos, elephants, buffaloes, and a rich variety of bird species gathering at the water's edge—perfect for photography and relaxation after a day of travel. Have a brief game drive and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 04 :

Morning game drive, chimpanzee trekking & transfer to Kigali

After your morning breakfast, you will start your day with an exciting chimpanzee trek in the beautiful Kyambura gorge. Walk through lush jungle trails as you search for wild chimpanzees and see their playful behavior up close, a truly memorable wildlife encounter.
Begin your scenic road transfer to Kigali via Katuna border with a drop off at your hotel in Kigali in the evening.

How fit do I need to be to do this trek?

Annapurna Base Camp is a Grade B or a moderately difficult trekking route. So any fit person can do this trek, even if you do not have any previous experience. You should be aware of what to expect and mentally prepare for it. Then, as long as you will too, you can.

How long do we walk every day when doing Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

On average, you walk about 4 to 6 hours per day. One or two days can be as less as 3hrs and one or two days can be as long as 7hrs.

What is the highest altitude reached in this trek?

The highest altitude reached is 4190m. This is the elevation of Annapurna Base Camp. ABC is the highest we will climb in this trek.

What about battery charging and hot shower facilities?

Yes, you can charge batteries en route. Charger should be brought. There are hot shower facilities as well. You may have to pay a certain amount for both ($1-$2). Negotiate. Also, a hot water facility could be free at a lower elevation.

Are there ATMs on the way to Annapurna Base Camp?

No. There are no ATMs on this trek route. You will have to draw enough cash in Pokhara or Kathmandu. There are a number of ATMs in these cities. Everything is paid in Nepali rupees. So money should be exchanged before the start of the trek.

What about internet access?

Yes. The Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. The Internet in Nepal is not as fast as you are used to and at times you can just lose connection.

Is it necessary to hire Guides/trekking agency for Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

Not really. It depends on you. If you want, ABC trekking can be done independently. You could hire a guide and a porter by yourself instead of going through an agency or not hire a guide at all. Although, not having a guide can be a little problematic during the offseason.

It really depends on you. Is it your first time in Nepal? How confident are you of being able to find your way around? How pressed on time are you? If you go through an agency, it will be costlier but everything will be planned. You will only have to come, trek and return.

How much do guides and porters cost?

For the Annapurna region, pay for guides range from $20 to $30 per day and porters take $15 to $25 per day.
